Man Arrested after Teens Shooting at Each Other in Maine

A 21-year-old was arrested Sunday after two groups of teens and young adults were shooting at each other in Lewiston.

Man Faces Several Charges after Shooting in Maine

Jayden Smith was taken into custody and charged with Reckless Conduct with a Dangerous Weapon, Possession of a Firearm by a Prohibited Person and Aggravated Criminal Mischief.

Witnesses Reported Seeing Teens and Young Adults Shooting at Each Other

The Lewiston Police Department said “witnesses reported that two groups of teens/young adults were shooting at one another” around 3 pm near Ash Street and Howe Street.

Bullets Hit Vehicles and Buildings in the Area

Bullets struck nearby vehicles and buildings. Officers also located several shell casings.

The Investigation is Active and Remains Open

No injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.

Police Are Looking for More Individuals Involved in the Incident

The Lewiston Police Department is looking for other suspects who were involved.
