Man & Woman Charged for Drug Trafficking in Fort Fairfield, Maine
A 37-year-old man from Caswell and a 31-year-old Fort Fairfield woman were arrested early Sunday morning for Aggravated Drug Trafficking after a traffic stop on White Hill Street in Fort Fairfield.
Man and Woman Arrested on Drug Charges and More
Shawn Dufour and Macenzie Charette were taken into custody around 12:10 am.
Police said Driver Showed “Signs of Impairment”
The Fort Fairfield Police Department said Dufour was driving the vehicle when it was stopped and “he was noticeably showing signs of impairment.”
Man Charged with Operating Under the Influence of Drugs
Dufour was charged with Operating under the Influence of Drugs.
Fentanyl, Meth and Cash Seized
Officers searched the vehicle and seized close to 13.61 grams of Fentanyl, 2.8 grams of Meth and cash from narcotics sales, said WAGM News.
Man Facing OUI and Drug Charges
Dufour was charged with OUI, Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Unlawful Drug Possession.
Woman had Outstanding Warrant
Charette is facing charges for Aggravated Drug Trafficking and Unlawful Drug Possession. She was also arrested on an unrelated arrest warrant and a probation hold was placed on her by the Department of Corrections.
Transported to Jail
Dufour and Charette were taken to the Aroostook County Jail.
