A 33-year-old man was sentenced to life in prison after killing a man in front of his pregnant girlfriend in Biddeford.
Life Sentence for Fatal Shooting
Randall Hennessey was charged with fatally shooting 31-year-old Douglas Michaud in September 2021.
Victim Shot in Front of Girlfriend while Evicting Man
Michaud was evicting Hennessey from an apartment at 26 Union Street, said WGME News. Hennessey shot Michaud multiple times in the chest in front of Michaud’s pregnant girlfriend.
Fugitive from Justice Arrested
Hennessey fled the scene and was a fugitive from justice. U.S. Marshal’s Maine Violent Offender Task Force apprehended him in Durham, New Hampshire.
Five Years for Felony Firearm Charge
Hennessey was also found guilty for possession of a firearm by a felon.
Jury Deliberated for One Hour
The guilty verdict in the trial was deliberated by the jury for an hour.
