Fugitive Arrested for Sex Trafficking at Massage Parlor in Maine
A man wanted in Maine was arrested for sex trafficking and forced labor after Police executed search warrants at an illicit massage parlor in Lewiston.
Wanted Man Arrested for Sex Trafficking
The Lewiston Police Department said Richard Qiu from Brooklyn, New York was apprehended in Boston, Massachusetts by the U.S. Marshals on September 6.
Warrant for Arrest
Qiu was wanted after a Grand Jury indictment and a warrant was issued for his arrest.
Search Warrants at Illicit Massage Parlors
During the investigation, two search warrants were executed at a massage parlor on Sabattus Street in Lewiston in March 2024.
Two Victims Identified and Sex Trafficking Items Seized
Two victims of human trafficking were on the property and identified. Video equipment, condoms and $12,000 in sex trafficking proceeds were seized.
Multiple Charges
Qiu has been charged with Sex Trafficking, Forced Labor and Criminal Forfeiture of Property.
