Body Found after House Fire in Maine
A man’s body was found early Sunday morning after a house fire on Sea Mist Lane in Harpswell.
One Man Dead after House Fire
The Maine Fire Marshal’s Office said no one was initially found after the fire was extinguished around 12:42 am. Officials believed the home was a seasonal residence.
Body Found in Burned Home
The man’s body was located inside the house during an investigation into the cause and origin of the fire.
Victim’s Identity
The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner to determine the identity.
Cause of Fire Undetermined
The cause of the fire was ruled undetermined due to the extensive damage, said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
