Attempted Murder Arrest in Southern Maine Shooting
A 19-year-old Buxton man is charged with attempted murder and elevated aggravated assault in connection with a shooting August 6 in Buxton.
Brandon Lasante was arrested when he met with detectives at the Buxton Police department, said Public Safety Spokesman, Stephen McCausland.
A 28-year-old man, Lincoln Kimball of Hollis, was left with serious gunshot wounds, said McCausland. He was treated at Maine Medical Center in Portland after being struck by shotgun pellets. Detectives interviewed Kimball at the hospital as he makes a recovery.
The shooting took place on Old Orchard Road at 2:30 a.m., August 6th.
The Attorney General’s Office and the York County District Attorney’s Office made the decision Monday to arrest Lasante. He is at the York County Jail with an appearance in York County Superior Court in Alfred set for Tuesday or Wednesday.
