43-Year-Old Man Died after Being Hit by Front-End Loader in Maine
A 43-year-old man died Monday afternoon after he was hit with a front-end loader at Dayton Sand and Gravel.
Hit by Front-End Loader and Died
The Maine State Police said “Cory Maddox of East Waterboro was walking across the yard of Dayton Sand and Gravel when he was hit by the bucket of the front-end loader that was being operated by another worker at the time.”
Man Died from Injuries
Efforts to resuscitate Maddox were made but were not successful. He died at the scene.
Police said No Criminal Activity
“There is no sign of criminal activity involved,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety. The investigation is ongoing by OSHA.
First Responders and Law Enforcement
Assisting Troopers was the York County Sheriff’s Department, Wells Police Department and Goodwins Mills Fire and Rescue.
