One Woman Found Dead, One Woman Injured & Man Arrested in Maine
Police are investigating after a woman was found dead outside a home in Readfield Wednesday and an injured woman was found inside the house on Giles Road.
Cause and Manner of Death
An autopsy will be done to determine the cause and manner of death of the dead woman.
Woman in Critical Condition
The injured woman was taken to Central Maine Medical Center in critical condition.
Man Fled the Scene and was Arrested
The Maine State Police said a man “fled the scene and was taken into custody by a Trooper a short distance away. He was transported to Maine General Hospital in Augusta for evaluation.”
Women and Man were Related
The three individuals were related, said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
No Danger to Public
Officials said there is no danger to the public. The investigation is ongoing with Detectives and Evidence Response Technicians with Major Crimes Unit Central.
