A 21-year-old teacher and coach died Thursday morning after a motorcycle and car crash in Augusta.
Motorcyclist Died after Crash with Vehicle
The Augusta Police Department said Hunter Davis from Augusta died from his injuries around 8:46 am after a crash at the intersection of Northern Belfast Avenue and Lambert Avenue.
Man was a Teacher and Coach
Davis was a substitute teacher and coach at Cony High School.
Crash Happened at Intersection
Police said the collision happened after a 77-year-old man from Augusta made a turn from Lambert Avenue onto North Belfast Avenue.
Flown by LifeFlight to Hospital
Davis was flown by LifeFlight to a hospital in Portland where he died of his injuries, said the Morning Sentinel.
Man Driving Vehicle Injured
The 77-year-old man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. His name was not released.
