An 11-year-old boy was seriously injured after his grandfather crashed into a bridge on Holeb Road in Dennistown Plantation.
11-Year-Old Seriously Injured after Crash with Grandfather
The Somerset County Sheriff’s Office said 74-year-old William Watkin of Long Pond Township appeared to be intoxicated.
Grandson with Serious Facial Injuries
His grandson had serious facial injuries. Another driver took the 11-year-old to Jackman Health Center. He was then flown by LifeFlight to a Bangor hospital.
Grandfather not Injured
Watkin was not injured. His grandson was in the backseat of the vehicle.
Alcohol Appears to be a Factor
Deputies said alcohol appears to be a factor in the crash, according to WABI News.
