
Woman Arrested & Charged with Drug Trafficking in Maine
A 38-year-old woman was arrested Friday morning and charged with aggravated drug trafficking following a traffic stop in Portland.

Jill Maynard from Windham was pulled over around 9:49 am near 1325 Forest Avenue.
Officer Observed Drugs in Plain View in the Woman’s Purse
The officer saw suspected drugs in plain sight inside her open purse.

“The driver then attempted to conceal a plastic bag containing the suspected substances. A subsequent search of the purse resulted in the discovery of a handgun, said the Portland Police Department.
Officers Seized a Substance with a Combination of Fentanyl and Meth
Police also seized approximately 39.5 grams of a substance believed to be a combination of fentanyl and methamphetamine.

Maynard was transported to the Cumberland County Jail and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking.
