Emera Maine crews continue to make steady progress in restoring power to areas throughout the County after being battered by the recent storms.

Sunday and Monday's powerful storms left many Emera Maine customers in the dark. The good news is that more than half of the 90,000 customers impacted in Hancock, Penobscot, and Piscataquis County are no longer in the dark.

We're thankful for crews who came up from Florida to assist with downed trees and limbs, downed wires and many broken poles, who continue their clean-up efforts until all customer's power is safely restored.

Emera Maine would like to remind us to never touch a downed power line or tree in contact with a downed power line.

All motorists are urged to slow down or move over and change lanes, when possible, should they find themselves approaching utility crews working on roadways.

If you need additional information on the restoration progress or to report a downed power line in your area, you're encouraged to report those issues to their Customer Contact Center at 207-973-2000 or 1-855-EMERA11.
