
Two Men Sentenced for Drug Trafficking in Northern Maine
Two men were sentenced for Drug Trafficking in Aroostook and Penobscot Counties.
First Man Sentenced
Joshua Jerrell, 30, from Orrington, was sentenced to time served, approximately 36 months. He will also have three years of supervised release. He pleaded guilty on February 9, 2023.
First Man Charged
Jerrell was charged with conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl and conspiring to make false statements to a federal firearms licensee.
Second Man Sentenced
Also sentenced was 43-year-old Aaron Rogers from Bangor. He was given time served of 33 months with three years supervised release. He pleaded guilty on April 9, 2024.
Second Man Charged
Rogers was charged with conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute meth and fentanyl.
Trafficked Fentanyl & Meth to Northern Maine
Jerrell and Rogers trafficked meth and fentanyl into Aroostook County and Penobscot County between January 2018 and December 2021.
Used Coded Language for Deals
“Both men regularly arranged to obtain quantities from a source through phone calls, texts and social media using coded language,” said court records.
False Statements to Firearms Dealer
Jerrell also made false statements to a federal firearms dealer in Holden to get a gun for a drug supplier.
Widespread Drug Trafficking Conspiracy
There were 21 people charged in the widespread Maine drug trafficking conspiracy. Thirteen people have already been sentenced and eight are awaiting sentencing.
