
53-Year-Old Woman Sentenced for Drug Trafficking in Maine
A 53-year-old woman was sentenced for drug trafficking in Aroostook and Penobscot Counties.
Sentencing
Carol Gordon from Bangor was given time served (approximately 30 months and 25 days in prison), followed by three years of supervised release to include six months of community confinement.
Guilty Plea
She pleaded guilty on March 14, 2023 to conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute methamphetamine and fentanyl, said the U.S Attorney's Office.
Northern Maine Drug Trafficking Ring
Gordon was involved in a northern Maine drug trafficking ring between January 2018 and December 2021 that distributed meth and fentanyl in Aroostook County and Penobscot County.
Drugs Sold from Her Home
Court records said Gordon allowed others to sell drugs from her Bangor home in exchange for drugs for her personal use.
21 People Charged in Conspiracy
So far, 21 defendants have been charged in the drug trafficking conspiracy. Seventeen people have been sentenced and four are awaiting sentencing.
