Two people were seriously injured Monday night after a tent fire in Skowhegan.

The fire happened at 61 Russell Road around 9:02 pm.
Flash Fire after Propane Tank Ignited
The Maine Fire Marshals Office said “a leaking propane tank inside the tent ignited, resulting in a flash fire, destroying the tent and its contents.”
Two Individuals Hospitalized with Burns
The two people injured were taken to Redington Fairview Hospital. Names and ages were not released.
Accidental Fire
“The fire is considered accidental,” said Shannon Moss, Public Information Officer, Maine Department of Public Safety.
