Truck Drove Off Dock and Crashed into Water in Maine
A man was injured after a pickup truck crashed off the Dysart's Marina dock in Southwest Harbor.
Man Lost his Brakes and Fell 20 Feet in Truck
The Southwest Harbor Fire Department said the driver lost his brakes and collided with a barricade before falling 20 feet to the water.
Driver Injured after Crash
The man was able to get out of the truck and climb onto the dock. He was injured with a cut hand. Name and age were not released.
Truck Landed on Dock and Mud
“The front of the truck was resting on the low tide mud while the rear was on the dock,” said Southwest Harbor FD.
Truck Loaded on Barge
The pickup was lifted onto a barge and taken to Manset Dock. Crews put out an absorbent boom for leaking fluids.
