Maine State Police arrested two teens and one adult Thursday morning in connection with the beating death of a Lewiston man in June 2018.

Thirty-eight-year-old Donald Giusti died in the hospital three days after a physical altercation involving several people on Knox Street in Lewiston.

Troopers assigned to Troop F in Aroostook County located one suspect in the Town of Limestone, according to Maine State Police spokesman Steve McCausland. The 17-year-old male from Lewiston was arrested for Manslaughter and will be transported to the Long Creek Correctional Facility in South Portland. He is expected to make his first court appearance in Lewiston District Court on Friday at 1 p.m.

Police say a 13-year-old male from Lewiston was arrested for Assault and also transported to the Long Creek Correctional Facility. The teen is set to make his first court appearance Thursday at 1 p.m.

Twenty-three-year-old Pierre Mousafiri of Lewiston was arrested for Assault and transported to the Androscoggin County Jail in Auburn. Mousafiri’s arraignment is scheduled for June 12th at Lewiston District Court pending release on bail.

The arrests are the result of several months of investigation, which included multiple interviews, a thorough review of physical and electronic evidence seized in the case and after consulting with the Maine Attorney General’s Office, the Office of Chief Medical Examiner, Androscoggin District Attorney’s Office and the Juvenile Corrections Office.  Lewiston Police also assisted in the case.

No further information will be released at this time, McCausland said.
