Teen Shot and Man Arrested after ‘Ding-Dong-Ditch’ Game in Maine
A teen was shot and seriously injured early Saturday morning after a 30-year-old man fired shots on Waterford Road in Harrison.
Teen Shot and Man Arrested after “Ding-Dong-Ditch” Game
The Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office said several teens were playing "ding-dong-ditch" where they ring a doorbell and run away.
Man Fired Handgun Several Times
Vincent Martin shot a handgun at them multiple times after they knocked on his door and ran at 91 Waterford Road. Witnesses heard shots fired and screaming, said WGME News.
Teen Walked into Hospital with Gunshot Wound
Deputies found blood on the road near the residence around the same time Bridgton Hospital reported that a teen was a walk-in victim with a gunshot wound.
Seriously Injured
The teen was seriously injured with a gunshot wound to the calf. He was listed in stable condition, said officials.
Charged with Felonies and Misdemeanors
Martin was arrested and charged with two felonies - Elevated Aggravated Assault and Aggravated Reckless Conduct. He also faces two misdemeanor charges including Discharging a Firearm Near a Dwelling and Discharging a Firearm Over a Way.
Bail Set at $10,000 Cash
He was taken to the Cumberland County Jail with bail set at $10,000 cash.
