SUV With Emergency Flashers On Veers Off I-95 In Fiery Crash
HAMPDEN, Maine (AP) — Maine State Police have identified a driver whose vehicle veered off I-95, struck trees and burst into flames in Hampden.
Officials say the lone occupant of the SUV who died in the crash was 53-year-old Mark Aubut, of Bath.
Investigators say other drivers reported seeing his SUV traveling with its emergency flashers on before the 2003 GMC Yukon left the highway.
The crash that happened around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. State Police spokesman Steve McCausland said speed was not a factor; the crash remains under investigation.
