Suspect Sought In Portland, Maine Shooting; Victim Hospitalized
PORTLAND, Maine (AP) — Police in Portland, Maine, are searching for a suspect in a shooting that's left a man hospitalized.
Police said the shooting happened shortly after 10 p.m. Tuesday across from the Preble Street Shelter near the Portland Public Market Garage. They said it was likely the man and suspect knew each other and that the shooting happened after a brief altercation. Police said they don't believe there is any danger to the public.
Police said the victim is expected to survive.
The suspect was described as white, 6 feet tall, with long brown hair. He was wearing a dark pullover hooded jacket and dark cargo pants.
