A winter storm warning is posted until Wednesday afternoon.

Forecast for Wednesday

Snow, sleet, freezing rain changing to rain.  Wind gusts up to 50 mph this morning with blowing and drifting snow. Highs ranging from 32 to 42 north to south. Total snow and sleet accumulation of 5 to 9 inches expected.

Schools Cancellations, Closures & Delays:

MSAD 1 - All schools will have a remote learning day

RSU 39 will implement a Remote Learning Day on Wednesday. All co-curricular and extra-curricular activities are canceled. Please see the RSU 39 website for additional information.

Ashland District School - closed

The Woodland Consolidated School will be closed due to the storm. Students will have remote learning.

MSAD 24 (Van Buren) - closed

All Valley Unified Schools - snow day. No remote learning.

MSAD #45 (Washburn) will not be in session Wednesday Jan. 10, 2024.

MSAD 20 - Closed Wednesday

Easton School Department - Virtual learning Wednesday

Limestone Community School - Closed Wednesday

All RSU 29 schools (Houlton area) are cancelled due to the storm.

MSAD 70 – Hodgdon -closed

RSU 50 – closed

RSU 89 – closed

All schools in New Brunswick's Anglophone West School District are closed today due to weather conditions.

NMCC in Presque Isle - closed

NBCC  Woodstock - closed

Businesses, Municipal, Events and Other Cancellations, Closures & Delays:

All Katahdin Trust Locations to Open at Noon – Eagle Lake and Fort Kent Closed

Norstate FCU is closed all day.

All ACAP locations across Aroostook County will be closed to the public on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. All customers with scheduled appointments will be contacted by the Agency.

UMPI and the Houlton Center will be closed Wednesday, Jan. 10.

City of Presque Isle Municipal Offices are closed Wednesday, including City Hall and the Presque Isle Public Library.

City of Caribou - all offices are closed due to the weather.  Includes Caribou Public Library and Caribou Rec Department

Aroostook County Action Program - Closed Wednesday

Aroostook Regional Transportation System, Inc - Closed Wednesday

Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce - Closed Wednesday

All State Offices will delay opening until noon on Wednesday, January 10

Fort Fairfield Town Office will be closed on Wednesday due to the storm and travel conditions.

Ashland Town Office, Ashland Library, and the Ashland Recreation Department will be closed Wednesday.

Caribou District and Superior Court - Will delay until 1PM

High School Basketball Game scheduled for Wednesday, Houlton at PI boys, will be moved to Thursday the 11th with a 7:00 pm start time.

Country Music at The Sargent Family Community Center on Wednesday has been cancelled.
