A large amount of items stolen during a rash of thefts from vehicles and break and enters into sheds and garages in the Moncton area has been found and two people have been charged.

On August 27, a citizen from the Moncton area, turned over to police a large amount of stolen property. Police are now trying to identify the owners of the property so it can be returned and connect the property to the reported incident.

According to police, electronics including laptops, DVD players and a printer were recovered. Wallets, tools, jewellery, CD’s, books, bags and sunglasses are some of the items that were recovered. It is believed that this property was stolen from vehicles, sheds and garages in the Moncton area between July 15, and August 26.

On September 11, police executed a search warrant in an apartment on Mckenzie Avenue and arrested two people in connection with the thefts. Jamie Anglehart, a 27-year-old man from Moncton, and a 17-year-old girl from Moncton were arrested and charged with thefts, possession of stolen property and fraudulent use of a credit card, said police.

More charges are possible as the investigation continues. They are expected to appear in Moncton Provincial Court on September 28 at 9:30 a.m.
