Sleet, Freezing Rain & Icy Conditions on the Roads

Police are urging drivers to slow down on the roads today due to icy conditions. Sleet and freezing rain is expected to mix with or change to snow this morning across the region.

Aroostook County Sheriff's Deputies also responded to US Route 1 in Monticello where several tractor trailer units were stuck on the hill near Jewells Corner.

State Police responded to a crash early today on I-95 in Herseytown Township, just southwest of Houlton, where three semi-trucks slid off the highway.

All schools in Aroostook County are on a 2 hour delay due to road conditions.

The UMPI Houlton Center will have a two hour delay this morning. The Center will open at 10 a.m. The Presque Isle campus remains on its normal schedule. You can find more details on our website.

New Brunswick schools in zones 1 - 5 in the Anglophone West district are closed today. That includes about 30 schools from Edmundston to Woodstock to Stanley.
