A 33-year-old man was sentenced to six years in prison for drug trafficking in Maine.
Sentenced to Six Years for Conspiring to Distribute Fentanyl
Bradley Bellfleur from Bangor pleaded guilty on July 23, 2024 to conspiring to distribute fentanyl.
Supervised Release Following Prison Sentence
U.S. District Judge Stacey D. Neumann also gave him five years of supervised release.
Man was in Adult Treatment and Recovery
“Bellfleur was enrolled in the Penobscot Adult Treatment and Recovery Court in Bangor as part of his sentence for a 2022 burglary conviction,” according to the United States Attorney’s Office.
Trafficking Drugs While in Court Appointed Treatment
Investigators learned from information they received that Bellfleur was trafficking fentanyl at the same time he was in treatment.

Drugs Seized Along with Drug Trafficking Paraphernalia
Police searched his residence and seized fentanyl and drug trafficking paraphernalia.
Man was Conspiring with Others to Traffic Drugs in Maine
Messages from his cell phone showed Bellfleur was conspiring with people in Massachusetts to traffic fentanyl in the Bangor area.

Prior Conviction for Making Meth
He also had a prior conviction in 2016 for manufacturing meth.

Multiple Federal and State Agencies Involved in the Investigation
The lead investigators in the case included the United States Drug Enforcement Agency, the FBI, the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, Maine State Police, the Bangor Police Department and the Maine Attorney General’s Office.
