Three Charged in Presque Isle Middle School Burglary

Police have arrested three people after a break-in at the Presque Isle Middle School.

The Presque Isle Police Department received a call from school staff Friday morning reporting a burglary that had happened sometime overnight.  Someone had gained access through a second floor window and made off with two laptop computers valued at about $2,400.

MSAD 1 staff reviewed surveillance video and were able to identify three suspects. Presque Isle police also collected evidence at the scene and arrested two adults and a juvenile.

24-year-old Joshua Easler of Mapleton, 20-year Peterson of Presque Isle and a 17-year-old male were charged with burglary, theft and criminal trespass.

Easler and Peterson are scheduled to appear in Caribou Superior Court on September 17^th.

The teen was placed under house arrest by the Juvenile Community Corrections Officer. His court date is October 3^rd.

Presque Isle police say the suspects rummaged through items throughout the school but nothing else was stolen.
