
Police Investigating after Gunshots Fired at Residence in Maine
Police are investigating after gunshots were fired into a residence on Pownal Road in Auburn on Saturday night.
Two Bullet Holes in Window and Wall of Residence
The Auburn Police Department said the homeowner heard what sounded like gunshots and found two bullet holes in the living room window and wall.
Officers Confirmed Damage to Home Was Gunshots
Officers confirmed the damage inside the home was from gunshots. No injuries were reported. The incident happened around 7:45 pm.
Police Reviewed Video Footage from Nearby Residence
Police looked at video surveillance footage from a nearby residence. A dark-colored pickup truck was seen in the area at the time of the gunshots.
Authorities Said Not a Targeted Attack
“At this time, we have no reason to believe this was a targeted act. The evidence suggests that this was a reckless and isolated discharge of a firearm from a passing vehicle,” said Auburn PD.
