Perth-Andover Fire Displaces Family of Four
A woman and her three young children were displaced by a weekend fire in Perth-Andover that extensively damaged the bungalow they rented.
Firefighters responded shortly before midnight Saturday at 1 Glen Drive, just off Route 109. Officials say the blaze started in an attached garage and spread to the house There were no injuries reported.
The woman and her three children ranging in age from 1 to 4 years old, were being helped by Canadian Red Cross volunteers, according to spokesman Dan Bedell. The family was receiving emergency lodging and meals, winter clothing, blankets, personal-care items and teddy bear comfort toys for the children.
There's no word yet on what caused the fire.
