One Person Died & One Critically Injured after Fire in Maine
One person died from burn injuries and one person escaped with severe burns after a house fire Thursday afternoon in Skowhegan.
Victim Died from Burn Injuries
The victim died from the “extent of their burns” Friday morning at Maine Medical Center in Portland, said the Maine Department of Public Safety.
One Person Critically Injured with Burns
The person who escaped the fire was taken to Redington-Fairview General Hospital in Skowhegan where they are listed in critical condition.
Autopsy to Confirm Identification
An autopsy to confirm a positive identification and DNA confirmation will be done by the Office of Chief Medical Examiner.
Cause of Fire under Investigation
The Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the cause of the fire. Names and ages were not released.
