
$750,000 Worth of Drugs Seized and Three People Arrested in Maine
Two men and one woman were arrested and charged with aggravated drug trafficking after $750,000 worth of drugs was seized in Bangor on Wednesday.
Three Arrested and Drugs Seized
The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency, DEA and Bangor Police executed a search warrant at 247 Ohio Street as part of an ongoing investigation.
Controlled Purchases
Agents also did controlled purchases of fentanyl from one of the suspects.
$750,000 Worth of Drugs Seized
Law enforcement seized over 10 pounds of methamphetamine, over 3.5 pounds of fentanyl, over 2 pounds of cocaine, 3 handguns and over $120,000 in suspected drug proceeds. The estimated street value of the drugs is over $750,000.
Three Charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking
Three people were arrested and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking: 25-year-old Brandon Bautista from Bangor, 28-year-old Lacey Sockabasin from Bangor and 31-year-old William Wright from Bangor.
One Suspect was out on Bail
Wright was out on bail for Aggravated Trafficking Cocaine Base and Aggravated Trafficking Fentanyl.
Residence Across the Street from Preschool
“Aggravating factors in the case include drug weight, firearms and the residence’s close proximity to the Hilltop Preschool which sits directly across the Street,” said Commander Brandon Vafiades.
