Man’s Body Located on Bank of Aroostook River in Caribou, Maine

Police are investigating after the body of a deceased male was located on the banks of the Aroostook River between Fort Street and the dam in Caribou.

The Maine State Police and the Caribou Police Department said the man’s body was located Tuesday around 1 pm.

Autopsy to Determine ID, Cause and Manner of Death

The deceased was transported to the Office of Chief Medical Examiner in Augusta for an autopsy to determine positive identification and the cause and manner of death.

First Responders Investigating

Assisting Troopers and Officers from Caribou PD was the Aroostook County Sheriff’s Office and Caribou Fire and Rescue.
