One person was injured after a snowmobile accident on the Border trail in Aroostook County.

Crews Used Snowmobile and Rescue Toboggan to Assist Injured Person

The Caribou Fire & Ambulance Department responded with an EMS with a Polaris Ranger and rescue toboggan around 11:27 am Friday.

First Responders on The Scene Providing Medical Attention

Initial treatment was provided to the single rider involved in the incident.

Injured Rider Taken to Ambulance and Cary Medical Center

“It was determined that it would be a shorter distance to travel and meet the Ambulance at a different location from where the trail was initially accessed,” according to the Caribou Fire & Ambulance Department.

Injured Person Transported to the Hospital with Injuries

Crews transported the injured person to an ambulance. They were taken to Cary Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.
