Man with Minor Female Charged with Assaulting Woman in Maine

A 28-year-old man was arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault after a woman questioned his relationship with a minor female in Rockland.

Man Questioned about Minor Female

Kiune McClain was charged Aggravated Assault, Criminal Threatening, Refusing to Submit to Arrest, Criminal Restraint and Criminal Mischief.

Woman Strangled and Assaulted

The Rockland Police Department said McClain strangled and “assaulted a female who was questioning Kiune about his relationship with a minor female.”

Suspect Fled from Police

He fled the scene on foot when officers arrived on Summer Street around 12:13 am on Sunday.

Underage Drinking Investigation

McClain was arrested two days later by police “while investigating a report of underage drinking at a known location in Rockland's south end.”

18-Year-Old Charged

An 18-year-old man, Zack Gilbert, was also arrested during the incident and charged with Violation of Conditions of Release.

Juveniles on Probation

“Several known juveniles who were found to be in violation of their probation/conditions of release,” said Rockland PD.
