Eddie Massie from Lewiston fatally shot Lacresha Howard from Lewiston in December 2022.
Man and Woman Heard Arguing before Gunshot
Witnesses said they heard Massie and Howard arguing before hearing gunshots.
Woman Died from Gunshot to the Back of her Head
Howard died from a single gunshot wound to the back of the head, said court records.
Victim was Trying to End Relationship
Family members said she was trying to end the relationship.
Woman’s Body Found in Hallway of Apartment Building
Massie was apprehended in Greene several days after Howard's body was recovered in an apartment building hallway at 108 Pierce Street in Lewiston.
Man Pleaded Not Guilty
Massie pleaded not guilty to the crime in Marsh 2023. He changed his plea to guilty on July 23, 2024, said WGME News.
