Man Sentenced after 40 Pounds of Marijuana Seized in Maine

A 68-year-old man was sentenced for maintaining a drug involved premise after 40 pounds of marijuana was seized in Maine.

Pleaded Guilty Before Sentencing

Xisen Guo was given time served and one year supervised release. He pleaded guilty to the charges on January 13, 2025.

Search Warrant Executed at Residence

A search warrant was executed in February 2024 at the residence in Passadumkeag by the Penobscot County Sheriff’s Office, Homeland Security Investigations and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Arrest Made and Marijuana & Money Seized

Law Enforcement arrested Guo at the location and seized 40 pounds of marijuana, $4,410 and marijuana cultivating evidence.

Admitted to Charges after Arrest

“During a post-arrest interview at the location, Guo admitted that, for a time, he had rented the property to a person who grew marijuana and that he had eventually taken over the growing activity himself,” according to the United States Attorney’s Office.

Used Limited Liability Company to Buy the Property

Guo used a limited liability company to acquire the property to grow and distribute marijuana between July 2020 and February 2024.

Man Paid the Bills and Bought Growing Materials

He also paid the utility bills and taxes for the residence, as well as bought the materials and equipment to grow marijuana, according to court records.
