A 39-year-old man was sentenced to 10 years for drug trafficking and possession in Maine.

120 Months in Prison

Nicholas Delahunt from Sanford was given 120 months in prison for possessing fentanyl with intent to distribute. He will also have 8 years of supervised release.

Suspended License led to Drug Arrest

Delahunt was arrested in October 2023 when police saw him pulled over on the side of the road with a suspended license.

Baggie Protruding from Pocket

The officer noticed “a large plastic baggie protruding from his sweatshirt front pocket that appeared to contain narcotics,” said court records.

Fentanyl Seized

The bag contained 166 grams of fentanyl. Delahunt also had 3 grams of fentanyl on his person.

Previous Conviction

Delahunt was previously convicted in 2021 for drug trafficking in Maine.
