
Man Sentenced for Harassing & Threatening Woman in Maine
A 44-year-old man was sentenced to 18 months in prison for harassing and threatening a woman and her family in Maine.
18 Months in Prison
Angelo Castigliola was charged with making repeated phone calls with the intent to harass and transmitting a threatening interstate communication.
Pleaded Guilty
He will also have stand-alone monitoring for a year after his release. Castigliola pleaded guilty on August 26, 2024.
Repeatedly Harassed Victim with Calls and Texts
Police said Castigliola harassed the victim with 57 calls and texts. He left nine voicemails and texted her 40 times in one day.
Woman’s Minor Children
“Castigliola repeatedly threatened to harm an unidentified police officer with whom he believed the victim had a relationship, and repeatedly referenced the victim’s minor child,” said court records.
Threatened Victim’s Mother and Family
He also called the victim’s mother and disguised his voice. He left two voicemails and “threatened to kill three of her family members including the victim, and to rape two minor children.”
FBI Investigation
The case was investigated by the FBI.
