One man was injured Monday afternoon after a train collided with a tractor-trailer at a railroad crossing in Prospect. The crash happened around 1 pm on Muskrat Road.

Tractor-Trailer Driver Injured

The truck driver was taken to Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor with injuries.

Truck went into the Ditch

The truck went into a ditch after the crash, leaking a small amount of hydraulic fluid, said the Press Herald. The fluid has been removed from the scene.

Train did not Derail

The train did not derail during the impact and did not leak any hazardous material.

No Crossing Lights or Bar at Railroad Crossing

The Prospect Fire Chief, David Terry, said there are no crossing lights or bars in the rural road. The crash is under investigation.
