
Man Died after Motorcycle and Car Head-On Crash in Maine
A 52-year-old man died Friday morning after a motorcycle and car head-on crash in Saco.
Motorcyclist Died after Crashing with Car
Michael Peterson from Biddeford was seriously injured in the crash and transported to Maine Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Head-On Collision Involving Harley Davidson Motorcycle and Chevy Equinox
The Saco Police Department said Peterson was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle on Portland Road around 6:51 am when the crash happened.

Motorcycle was Trying to Pass a Tractor Trailer Turning into a Business
Peterson “attempted to pass a tractor trailer truck making a right turn into a business when the motorcycle crossed the double yellow center lines into the path of a southbound red Chevy Equinox, leading to a tragic head-on collision,” according to Saco PD.
Driver in Car Injured and Taken to the Hospital
The 53-year-old driver in the Chevy, Mickie Cyr from Saco, was also injured and transported to Maine Medical Center for treatment.

Road was Closed for Hours with Ongoing Investigation
The road was closed for hours as the crash site was reconstructed and processed. The collision remains under investigation.

Assisting the Saco Police Department was the Saco Fire Department and the Kennebunk Police Department.
