
Man Charged after Knife Assault at McDonald’s in Maine
A 61-year-old man was arrested and charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault after a McDonald’s employee was attacked with a knife in Bangor.
Police Arrested Man at McDonald’s after Alleged Assault with a Knife
Paul Bernard from Bangor was taken into custody around 6:25 am Saturday morning following the incident at the McDonald’s at 441 Main Street.
Suspect Taken to Jail and Charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault
Bernard was arrested at the scene and transported to the Penobscot County Jail. He was charged with Elevated Aggravated Assault.
Victim Transported to the Hospital with Injuries
The employee was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, according to WGME News.
Suspect and Employee Did Not Know Each Other
Police said the employee and Bernard did not know each other. The investigation is ongoing.
