Man Arrested for $90,000 Worth of Damage to 75 Cars in Maine
A 25-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning after causing $90,000 worth of damage to 75 vehicles at Rowe Auburn on Center Street.
Smashed Cars with Weighted Backpack
Skyler Henson from Auburn was taken into custody around 4:06 am after “swinging a weighted backpack, smashing the windows and the hoods of multiple vehicles in the car lot,” said police.
Windshields and Body Damage to Vehicles
“The majority of damage was caused by the smashing of front windshields, with other vehicles also sustaining body damage,” said Auburn Police.
911 Caller Requested Police Presence
The 911 caller asked for officers to come in person, advising that “the sooner police arrived the less damage there would be.” Smashing sounds could be heard in the background, Auburn Police.
Cash Bail set at $5,000
Hanson was charged with Aggravated Criminal Mischief. Officers said he acted alone. Hanson was transported to the Androscoggin County Jail with cash bail set at $5,000.
