Man Arrested after 9-Month-Old Girl Overdosed in Maine
A 28-year-old man was arrested after a 9-month-old girl overdosed at a home on Roxbury Drive in Mexico, Maine.
Man Arrested after 9-Month-Old Overdosed
The Oxford County Sheriff’s Office said Timothy Child from Dixfield is facing charges for endangering the welfare of a child, unlawful trafficking schedule W drug, and violating conditions of release.
Girl was Turning Blue
When Deputies arrived on the scene, the 9-month-old girl was turning blue and having trouble breathing, said WGME News.
9-Month-Old Given Narcan
She was transported to Rumford Hospital and given several doses of Narcan. She was then transferred to Maine Medical Center.
Girl Tested Positive for Opioid Overdose
Toxicology results said the girl tested positive for cocaine, marijuana, and had overdosed on opioids.
Cocaine Seized from Home
Deputies seized 60 grams of cocaine from the home. Child was out on bail and was taken into custody.
