Charges Dismissed Against Maine Woman Accused of Aggravated OUI
UPDATE: The charges against the woman were dismissed on Sept. 20, 2024.
Police said a woman from Oxford hit the man with her 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and caused serious bodily injury. His name and age were not released.
The woman was taken into custody after she was stopped by Detective Brandon Correia and Officer Michael Rioux at an impaired driving enforcement detail.
The Oxford Police Department said the woman “exhibited signs of intoxication, including slurred speech and impaired coordination.” She was arrested and transported to the Oxford County Jail.
The charges were later dismissed. The reason given for the dismissal was that a witness was unavailable.
