Maine Man Assaulted and Threatened Deputy during Arrest
A 50-year-old man assaulted and threatened to kill a Deputy Thursday night while he was being arrested in Waterboro for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon.
Deputy Assaulted and Threatened during Arrest
The York County Sheriff’s Office said the Deputy was not injured in the incident.
Prohibited from Possessing Firearms
Steven Drew was taken into custody at his Fairview Drive home for being “in possession of several firearms and he is a prohibited from owning or being in possession of firearms.”
Disturbance Call
Law enforcement was called to the residence for a disturbance and learned Drew had the firearms.
Multiple Charges
He is facing charges for Unlawful Possession of a Firearm by a Felon, Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer, and Refusing to Submit to Arrest or Detention. Drew was taken to the York County Jail.
