Two Men Died after Head-On Collision in Maine
Two men died Wednesday night and several people went to the hospital after a multi-vehicle crash on Route 26 in Paris, Maine.
Two Men Died after Three Vehicle Collide in Maine
A 57-year-old man from Paris, Maine and a 56-year-old Oxford man died at the scene of the accident. Their names have not been released pending notification of the family.
Truck Crossed Centerline and Hit Oncoming Truck
The Paris Police Department said a 2004 Dodge Ram crossed the centerline and sideswiped a 2018 Dodge Ram hauling a trailer.
Fatal Head-On Collision
The 2004 Dodge then collided head-on with a Chevy Silverado. The Chevy flipped on its roof. Both drivers died at the scene, said WGME News.
Two Passengers Taken to the Hospital
The driver in 2018 Dodge was not injured. Two passengers were taken to the hospital following the crash.
Crash Investigation Remains Open
Route 26, near 653 Park Street, was closed to traffic for about three hours. The crash investigation is ongoing.
