Man Charged with Kidnapping & Threatening Woman with Gun at Motel

A 48-year-old man was arrested and charged with kidnapping and domestic violence after a woman was held at gunpoint at a motel in Bangor.

Suspect Arrested and Charged after Police Respond to the Scene

Joseph Pepin from Guilford was taken into custody after the woman reported the assault to the police.

Man and Woman had Been Staying at the Motel Before Kidnapping

She told officers she had been staying at the motel with Pepin the past week, according to WGME News.

Man Charged with Threatening Woman with Gun at Motel

The woman also told police Pepin threatened her with a firearm on Wednesday and would not let her leave the motel.

Victim Escaped Kidnapper and Called for Help

The woman was able to escape and called for help.

Gun Seized at Motel as Part of Evidence in the Case

Police located a gun at the scene and seized it from the motel for evidence.
