On September 2, 2017, shortly before 8:30 p.m., the West District RCMP received a report of a collision between a car and motorcycle on Temple Road in Temple. The man, who was the driver of the motorcycle, died as a result of his injuries. The car involved in the crash was not at the scene when police arrived. An RCMP reconstructionist attended the scene.

A 44-year-old woman was later located and arrested in relation to the collision. She was released on a promise to appear in Woodstock Provincial Court on November 28, 2017.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the cause of the collision. The investigation is continuing.

The RCMP is looking to speak with two people who were in a white pickup truck in the temple area around 8 p.m. on the night of the accident, who stopped to assist a red Toyota Corolla that had gone off the road. These witnesses may have information that could assist the RCMP investigation into the collision that occurred later that night.
