Fire Destroys New Sweden Home
An overnight fire in New Sweden has destroyed a home.
The Caribou Fire Department responded to a report of fire at 380 Station Road in New Sweden just before 1:30 a.m. Tuesday.

When fire crews arrived on scene the home was fully engulfed in flames.

The Caribou Fire Department received mutual aid from Stockholm Fire and North Lakes Fire Department. According to North Lakes Fire & Rescue, they sent Tanker 9, Tanker 14, and the dually pickup responded with 14 men to assist with water supply and suppression operations.

No one was injured in the fire. The building was a total loss.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
