Fire Damages Camp at Madawaska Lake

Fire crews were called to a fire at a camp on Madawaska Lake Saturday night.At shortly after 8p.m. Saturday night, North Lakes Fire Department responded to the blaze to find heavy smoke coming from the structure and flames coming from the back windows.

Firefighters were on scene for approximately 2 hours.

No one was staying in the camp at the time.

According to North Lakes Fire Chief, Darren Woods, 18 firefighters, 2 tankers, 2 engines, Rescue & pickup responded. Mutual Aid was not needed.

There were no injuries.
