A 37-year-old man was arrested and charged with Aggravated Drug Trafficking in Bath.
Months-Long Investigation Leads to Arrest
George Markos from Bath was taken into custody Wednesday after a months-long drug trafficking investigation by the Maine Drug Enforcement Agency and the Bath Police Department.

Man Out on Bail Known to Police from Prior Drug Trafficking Arrest
Markos was out on bail and was known to law enforcement for a prior charge of Aggravated Drug Trafficking in 2025.
Reports of Drug Trafficking at Local Residence
Information and reports of drug trafficking at 12 Cottage Street led to a search of his residence as conditions for release.

Drugs, Money and Firearm Seized During Search
Agents seized 84 grams of Fentanyl, seven grams of cocaine, two grams of methamphetamine, one firearm and $1,391 in suspected drug money. The street value was around $11,000.

Taken to Jail and Booked with Ongoing Investigation
Markos was transported to the Twin Bridges Jail. The investigation is ongoing.
