Deputy and Woman Injured after Two-Vehicle Crash in Maine
A Deputy and a 71-year-old woman were injured Wednesday afternoon following a crash on Harpswell Road in Brunswick.
Woman’s Car Flipped on its Side
Cumberland County Sheriff's Deputy Todd McGee had his lights on and was trying to pass vehicles when the Topsham woman, Penelope Ebberts, turned into his lane and they crashed. Her vehicle flipped over on the driver's side.
Deputy and Woman Injured and Taken to Hospital
The Brunswick Police Department said Deputy McGee had minor injuries and was transported to Maine Medical center in Portland. The woman had serious injuries and was taken also to Maine Medical Center.
Police Investigating Crash
Both drivers were wearing seatbelts, said police. Their vehicles were totaled. The crash investigation is ongoing.
